What started out as a bootstrap operation with a desk and a chair in Southern California has exploded into a multi-national association management, marketing, and event company. From the beginning, we’ve taken a comprehensive approach to working with our many, diverse clients and industries that demand professional management & marketing. We can do the same for you.

Associations from all over depend on C&R Management for their event planning, membership, administration and financial needs. Our services are tailored to fit your needs. Volunteer burn out occurs when professional management is under utilized or not utilized at all.

Kaity Van Amersfort

CEO

Kaity Van Amersfort knows how to work under pressure, handling last-minute requests, paying close attention to myriad details, and keeping calm in the face of calamity. She lives by the motto, “Done is better than perfect.”

Kaity isn’t afraid of hard work. She learned about responsibility at the tender age of seven, when her grandmother, who sold canopies to a wide variety of customers, put her and her brother to work. The pair opened delivery boxes, sorted product, and accompanied their grandmother to swap meets, which required waking at 4 a.m. As Grandma considered the kids’ help a family obligation, Kaity never earned a dime for those efforts.

When she was old enough to buy a car, her grandmother loaned her the money – at 5 percent interest. Of course, Kaity paid back the loan promptly.

Hired as a receptionist at an association management company while attending college, Kaity soon took on additional duties. Within a few years, she was running the office. She chose a degree in communications because, she says, “a lot of what I do is member communications and outreach.” A problem solver who enjoys a challenge, Kaity knows when to speak up – and when to curb her eagerness to offer advice.

“Sometimes people just want to be heard – they don’t necessarily want a solution which can be difficult for me,” she says. But organizations looking for strategic advice can call on Kaity for practical, executable ideas that achieve lasting results.

What Kaity loves most about her job is seeing associations run more efficiently, grow and make the world a better place. As for her, she gets immense satisfaction when clients are happy with the results they set out to achieve. With her & her team’s help, growth and prosperity are possible.

She’s also grateful for the opportunity she’s had to meet an amazing variety of people over the years. As a result of those connections, Kaity has developed an extensive network she utilizes regularly for assistance, advice, and outreach.

Kaity scoffs at the idea of balancing her personal life – she’s the mother of two young children – and her professional life. “You do what you have to do at certain times,” she says. As long as the work gets done, it doesn’t matter if you’re answering emails at 5 a.m. or 9 p.m. “You have to be nimble and flexible,” she asserts.

Kaity says her goal for C&R Management is to “work for chapters and societies that are making an impact and a difference in some way.”

Kaity is a member of the California Society of Association Executives (CalSAE), the Center for Association Leadership (ASAE) and the Society for Nonprofits. She is an active volunteer with her local CalSAE chapter.

Born and raised in Southern California, Kaity grew up in the San Gabriel Valley and currently resides in Riverside.
